Plateau United Defeat Enugu Rangers, Win 2016/2017 NPLF Title

Plateau United FC have won the Nigeria Professional Football League title following their 2-0 win against former champions Enugu Rangers in final match-day of the season at the Rwang Pam Stadium today.

Emeka Umeh opened scoring in the 25th minute, Benjamin Turba doubled the lead in the 88th minute to give them the league title in the recently concluded season.

Plateau United has been consistent all through the season, winning few matches away from home in addition to winning their home games when it really mattered.

At the Maiduguri Stadium in Borno, Mountain of Fire and Miracles lost the opportunity of winning the league, losing 2-1 away to El-Kanemi Warriors.
