OPINION: PDP 2015 Loss And The Looming Of Another Over One Man, By Ena Ofugara

I have watched for two years the narrative that Goodluck Jonathan was rigged out and that he was held at gunpoint by Abdulsallam before agreeing to concede. This will make a very fine movie. It does not make it true.

To the realist, to those who wish to win, you do not give excuses for loss. You find a reason or two and go on to see how to correct the reason or mistake.

Jonathan never won the North in 2011. Buhari won it, yet he was president. So what was different in 2015? Why did GEJ and PDP lose?

GEJ blend Yoruba support as well as Eastern turnout. Even his Bayelsa state did not give him the type of votes a man running in his state should have.

Thus the question before PDP is "How can we take back Yoruba support and have better turn out in the East and south south?"

Since GEJ lost, I have been consistent in saying we can push out the bigot Buhari and APC. I have been saying that with how the economy has been run and how tribalistic Buhari has turned out to be, APC IS beatable. I have said Tinubu cannot go to Yorubas to vote Buhari again in 2019. In their silence, Yorubas can be politically savvy.

But instead of trying to push out APC and Fulani supremacists (not all of them are supremacists. El Rufai, Buhari, Kwankwaso and Sanusi Lamido Sanusi are supremacists) we allow ourselves to be distracted and for the dagger of disunity to be pushed into the divide between East and West and even South South by a man and his Messianic ego. In silence we watched him insult Yorubas Niger Delta leaders and threaten death on everyone...

When we could have been talking how to harness the intellects of Peter Obi, Ngozi Okonjo Iwealla, and even force home Adeshina Akinwumi to come and be Prez or VP, we are instead having to nullify the corrosive narrative of a man telling people not to vote a register to vote, a narrative even the wife of Ojukwu herself, beautiful Bianca Ojukwu has had to rise up to try and negate.

The Middle Belt is lost to Buhari. Those from Makurdi who voted Buhari are ashamed of their votes

Yet...

PDP  defeat in 2019 is almost certain because of the activities of one man whose sanity the wise should doubt strongly.

Or whose motive and methods ought be questioned as they operate to empower Buhari and APC more and more.

And before our eyes we come to see how Germans must have kept quiet on the hate spewed by Adolph Hitler simply because he spoke to their pain as we see people keeping quiet and supporting Nnamdi Kanu knowing the damage this man is causing to their tribe, PDP and everything we hold dear. Just recently, over 5 million Igbos in the North and their daily bread was threatened cause of him. Human beings are ready to support EVIL as long as it conforms to their narrative. This is proof.

And that is how also intense friendships of Goodluck Jonathan, Ayo Fayose, Peter Obi, Mimiko that would have been of immense political benefit to Nigeria if harnessed is going to be made into nothing by the distraction of "NO ELECTION IN ANAMBRA" and other very funny decisions. Yes "Our" votes in the south will be DEPRESSED.

And all for what? What is his game?

That the same Fulanis he calls evil DASH HIM REFERENDUM. How is that possible????

What would have been possible was targeted messaging to Yorubas that Tinubu has led them wrong. What we should have been doing is asking everyone to REGISTER AND HOLD THEIR CARDS AND DEFEND THEIR VOTES AND CHASE BIGOTS AWAY.

Instead, we lose our best minds to a mission bound to either FAIL or end in bloodshed.

When we could have wrestled Buhari's sick grasp from power and put in people who would learn from GEJ's mistakes.

"Gift" of recession and Fulani herdsmen and flood etc, yet PDP may not be able to benefit because a lot of hitherto intelligent people decided to distract themselves and follow someone who should be ignored at best and institutionalized at worst.

GEJ lost because he lost Yoruba votes and PDP usual base turnout was low.

What is PDP doing about changing this? Will they allow one man spell their election loss in 2019?

How can Buhari emmm... sorry Jubril from Sudan who did plastic surgery to become Buhari be beaten in 2019?
