Anambra Guber: APC National Working committee confirms Tony Nwoye's victory

The NWC of All Progressives Congress (APC), on Monday confirmed the victory and candidacy of Dr. Tony Nwoye for the November 18th Governorship Election in the state.

Recall that Dr. Tony Nwoye had,  in what is now adjudged the most transparent primary election ever held by any political party, emerged victorious, pooling a convincing majority vote of 2146.


Sen Andy Ubah in excercise of his rights challenged the victory of Dr Tony Nwoye. However, the NWC of the party, after robust consultations and incisive investigation, sat today to consider the recommendations of the appeal panel as submitted to them, and upheld the victory of Dr Tony Nwoye.


Subsequently, the party leadership has submitted the  name of Dr.Tony Nwoye  to INEC as its candidate.

While we celebrate the reaffirmation of the party's resolve to entrench a rich internal party democracy, we call on all our party members, fans, supporters and friends of Dr Tony Nwoye to eschew comments, posts and utterances against respected members of our party, especially, the Distinguished Senator Andy Ubah.

Finally, lets not forget that Dr Tony Nwoye did not win any aspirant, he won the confidence of the party delegates same way he will win the confidence of the Anambra electorates come Nov 18, 2017
