US Court Strikes Out Credit Card Fraud Charges Against Singer, Dammy Krane

The allegation of credit card fraud levelled against Nigerian Pop singer, Dammy Krane by a private jet service company in the US, TapJets, has been struck out.

A US court struck out the nine charges of credit card forgery, armed conspiracy and grand theft filed against the singer.

 He ran into trouble in June when he was arrested after a private jet service company, TapJets, alerted the US police that the singer made a booking totalling $10,943 with stolen credit card details. He was later detained alongside one Ilochukwu Gabriel at Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center before making bail.

However, Circuit Judge for the 11th Judicial Circuit of Florida, in the Criminal Division, Judge De La O Miguel on Thursday morning, discharged Dammy Krane of all charges. The Miami-Dade County Criminal Justice Online System revealed that Dammy Krane appeared for his trial at 9:15am on August 17, 2017 at the Justice Building, Room 4-3 with Courtney Erik as his defence attorney and Migiel De La O as the judge. After the hearing, he was discharged and the case was officially closed.

 The singer who has obviously put the issue behind him thanked his fans on Twitter as he seized the opportunity to announce that he is already working on releasing a new song.

 He said, “Sometimes life puts you through trials and tribulations, not to bring you down but to make you stronger. It will also show you who is truly with you, who really cares. Case closed. I’m a free man. Let’s get back to the music.” Davido, who is known as his close pal, could not hide his excitement as he took to his snapchat to break the news. In a post he wrote, “Dammy Krane is a free man.” Shortly after, the If singer posted another video and wrote, “Dammy won the case, we thank God.”
