Ahead of the November 18 governorship election in Anambra State, The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has cleared six aspirants and disqualified one.
Chairman of the screening committee and ex-minister of Police Affairs, Adamu Maina Waziri said the committee was fair and just.
Presenting the certificates of clearance to the aspirants in Abuja, Waziri said a former minister of aviation, Stella Oduah, Dr. Alex Obiogbolu, Prince John Okechukwu Emeka, Lynda Chuba Ikpeazu and Ifeanyi Ubah were cleared.
Waziri said Oseloka Henry Obaze was conditionally cleared and awaiting a waiver from the party.
Akolisa Ufodike was disqualified from the contest on grounds of dual citizenship.
Waziri further explained that Ufodike was disqualified because he was a Canadian citizen but a Nigerian by birth.
He therefore, said that any aspirant who is not satisfied with the decisions of the screening panel has the right to appeal.
