Nigerian Youngster, Makanjuola Signs Four-year Deal With Leicester City, Becomes Fifth Nigerian Player To Play For The Foxes

A promising Nigerian youngster and winger Habib Makanjuola has signed a four-year deal with Leicester City.

Makanjuola, 18, joins Leicester City from Water FC in Nigeria after previous spells with Chelsea’s U-16s and Birmingham’s U-17s.

The former Golden Eaglet will join up with Leicester City’s U-23 team for the coming season after impressing on trials at the club.

Makanjuola becomes the fifth Nigerian player to play for Leicester after Yakubu Aiyegbeni, Ahmed Musa, Wilfred Ndidi and Iheanacho.

The excited youngster, who was part of the Nigerian Golden Eaglets squad that won the 2013 FIFA U-17 World Cup in United Arab Emirates, said he hopes to cement a place in the first team squad of the club.
