Neymar now wants to sue his former club, Barcelona at the FIFA after his 222 million euro change to Paris Saint-Germain.
The 25-year-old Brazilian is preparing for a legal dispute and wants to call for an arbitration by the FIFA World Cup, the Brazilian portal, Globo Esporte reports.
This involves a sum of EUR 26 million, which Neymar and his father, who is also his manager, are to receive as a bonus in 2016 for the contract renewal negotiated with Barça by 2021.
From the point of view of FC Barcelona, the Brazilian national player did not stick to the then-made agreements.
Neymar had assured, Inter Alia, to negotiate with no other club before 31 July 2017.
That is why the Catalans want to withhold this sum, because Neymar played only one of the five contract years in Barcelona, agreed in October 2016.
In order to make the record transfer possible, Paris had to withdraw the withdrawal clause stipulated in the contract and pay 222 million euros to Barcelona. Meanwhile, Neymar can make his Paris St-Germain debut after French football authorities received clearance following his £200m world record move from Barcelona.
