Neymar Scores Brace For PSG As Toulouse Suffer 6-2 Defeat

Neymar Jnr. has continued to to justify his world record transfer from FC Barcelona as he scored on his home debut for Paris Saint-Germain on Sunday night.

PSG defeated Toulouse 6-2 at Parc des Princes.

Neymar,( brace) Adrien Rabiot, Edison Cavan, Javier Pastore, and Layvin Kurzawa scored for PSG but it was Tolouse who went ahead with Cote d’ Ivoire’s Max Gradel scoring on his debut for his on-loan club. PSG captain Thiago Silva scored an own goal

Gradel scored against the run of play, latching onto a pass that came his way in the 18th minute.

Neymar equalised for PSG in the 31st minute. The Brazilain exchanged passes with Adrien Rabiot. The latter’s shot was initially saved but Neymar scored from the rebound.

PSG scored their second of the night through Rabiot who found the bottom corner with Neymar assisting the goal.

Cavani had a 43rd minute goal disallowed but the Uruguayan scored in the second half from the penalty spot while a Javier Pastore curler, Layvin Kurzawa scored (with an overhead kick from a Neymar corner) and Neymar second of the night ensured a comprehensive victory although Thiago Silva scored an own goal in the 78th minute.

It is PSG’s third straight victory in three Ligue 1 games this season.

Neymar, who joined from Barcelona for a world record €222m transfer fee, has now scored three goals in two games for the Parisians.
