Premier League team Swansea have announced they have signed Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham on a season-long loan deal.
Abraham, who returned from the U21 European Championship with England at the end of last month, has been heavily linked with a move to a rival Premier League club after impressing on loan in the Championship for Bristol City last season.
Newly promoted duo Newcastle and Brighton were the frontrunners to sign the 19-year-old but Swansea, managed by former Chelsea coach Paul Clement, stole a march on their rivals to secure the highly rated striker.
Chelsea, who also recognise the future Abraham has ahead of him, rewarded the teenager with a new five-year deal before he completed a loan switch to the Welsh outfit.
Only Chris Wood (27) scored more goals in the Championship last season than Abraham (23), while all of his goals came inside the penalty area.
