Stanley Uzochukwu: Looking Beyond Anambra Political Tiki-Taka, By Martin Beck Nworah

As written by Martin Beck Nworah

Away from the political coitus that has filled up the narrative of the opening of Stanel's new mega station in Awka, I want to show my fellow young people the man behind this company. I think we have one or two stuffs to learn from him.

Mr. Uzochukwu is 34 years old and a son of Anambra. A graduate of Botany from the University of Jos and is married to Irene Uzochukwu. Irene is the daughter of Pauline Tallen, the former Deputy Governor of Pleatau state. That was the beginning of all things beautiful in his life.

For those saying the Awka branch of Stanel is the only one he has, there's another branch at Rayfield Resort Road, Kwang, Jos,
Jos-East, Plateau, Nigeria. But the Awka facility is world class. Top notch something!

Mr. Uzochukwu is a definition of street smartness. See this guy, o nwere sense too much. In Anambra political circle, there's what is called "lamba". This, my dearest friends, is a definition of lamba of the highest order. Like I said, he is smart. He has political ties across the East and North and he is a hardworking young man. He utilised it very well to his own gain.

I learnt in a very hard way, that successful men more often than not, get their real spice of success not in their offices but in the mutual business or family ties they build out of it. Mr. Uzochukwu's Stanel Group has a business going concern that it's share capital could not have single handedly carried the cost of building the mega station in Awka. But he is smart. He understands the game of life and how to play it. He sold his idea to people and they bought into it. Whoever that is, if una break the law, a day of reckoning will come.

But he is hardworking and believes in his own ability to influence trends. This is a strong point for young peeps around here. When I say young, I don't mean those "youth men" who jump from one hotel to another in Awka, giving away complimentary cards to Unizik babes. And why do these babes often drop the cards at my house as if Martin Beck Nworah is a card collector?

Like I stated earlier, Mr. Uzochukwu is only 34 years old. His mates around Anambra state are still comfortable being personal assistant to a special assistant or a personal aide to a media aide. Today, if you get to your house, go naked before your mirror and ask yourself important questions. And if you will be humble enough to sit down, go and ask Stanley how he managed to pull the plugs of life to work in his favour.

Here's another lesson; before you form an opinion about something or someone, ask questions. Know the narrative behind their journey so that when you attack, you will do so constructively.

And he has a good heart too. He takes care of widows and IDPs as part of his personal and corporate social responsibility. Did I mention the internet said he takes care of a certain Nollywood actress too? These actresses and their big boobs no dey take eye see successful married men. The gist has scattered his online image by the way. I hope he will get someone to clean up that mess.

I know Kola Aluko and his narrative in this country is not strange to many people. Oga Stan, I hope you are threading with enough caution and protection both below and above.

If you can spare time, read up the personal life of Mr. Uzochukwu. And I hope nobody will block the Enugu-Onitsha Expressway again, before heavy duty truck will fall on the person. Thanks for the farmers market by the way, my female friends know that's my favourite.

As for the political narrative on who owns what, only time will tell. For now, I admire what Stanley has achieved for himself at a good age in his life. Whether Chief Willie Obiano returns to Agu Awka or not later in November, we need your business to be standing strong.

Whatever happens, protect yourself!

Till we get to the Promised Land, I shall be waiting for when you will pass me a glass of water and thank God for the gift of grace for the race.
