OPINION: Never accept the generalization that everything about women is money

By anonymous writer

We largely accept the generalisation that everything about women is money. True as it seems, a neck deep regurgitation of it exposes us to the risk of neglecting doing much on cheaply building our personality to attract and keep our choice women.

I did date a banker whose salary doubled mine. It was a big shocker to her the day my salary alert came in as she was playing an electronic game with my phone. She couldn't reconcile how packaged I was with what I earned. I had to swear by the gods that it was the whole and not a part payment. Though, I hustled to argument but that was a whole different issue for another day.

See guys, guy man no be to sag trouser or put hand for back of pocket. It is pretty much of brain work and how coordinated you are. In this Pa Buhari's  hard times, you need to find ways to look good without breaking the bank. You need to be personally and financially organised to be able to attract and keep your choice woman.

When I lived in Lagos, I would go to Orile for ok(okirika/fairly used) shirts.... Thomas Pink, Giant, Hugo Boss, Marks & Spencer, TM Lewin.... name it. I would check the collars and cuffs to confirm grade.

I would also go to Yaba for correct well sewn-to-fit ok plain trouser. My banker friend I lived with got me introduced to the market as I pressed so hard to know where he used to get his perfect designers trousers.

I would go to Balogun, Lagos Island and source suit cheaply from importers. The suit I helped a friend source at 15k gave him some chicks at Lagos law school.

The ankle length black suede... Well crested Pierre Cardin  rocked my Uni days in UNN. I got it 4k. Quality grade fairly used/ok at Westminster Lagos.

There is this centre rug I bought for 3.5k in Ladipo ware house. I priced it on the streets of Enugu and it goes for 12k.

Today, the cologne I use, sourced at 3.5k is bomb. It is not of a popular label, but of great quality and imported by same person along side other big designers labels. My well crested Tommy Hilfiger and Nike Air sport shoes were bought by my bros in Cotonu....na ok grade 1.

Bros them, do you hustle and forget to shave your armpit and pubic hair and be smelling like a goat?

A doctor friend of mine has the worst mouth odour issue I have ever seen. Carelessness. He doesn't have time to brush regularly and use mouth wash to fight halitosis.

The sight of the boxers of another doctor friend of mine will make a woman withdraw an already given consent. It is all that bad. He would wear a green T-shirt till it turns to it-was-green. His shoes can induce convulsion on a toddler. He obviously earns well, but no be guy man na!

I can take care of fabrics for Africa. Store your clean clothes inside a box not wardrobes. It helps to retain the colour. Wash deep coloured clothes with mild soap towards the evening to avoid hot sun.

Guys, study your environment.
Discover where you can get things you need at good rates. Kriss kross that big market. Source household consumables in bulk and save some for airtime to call you ideal lady...

The day I ran into an assembly of Enugu big chicks selecting ok bra at Ogbete...Chai.
Guys... Package well at cheap rate, it is not always all about money.
