OPINION: Is Nigeria Still In Search Of Her Destiny?

It is axiomatic to contend that Nigeria is an unfortunate example of a failed state with myriad of mismanaged opportunities.

Indeed the state called Nigeria, as largely a colonial creation and breed, has over the years been emersed in seemingly intractable and deepening crisis of development occasioned largely by maladministration and looting of public treasury.

One pathetic case about Nigeria is that her abundant natural resources has turned into acute disgrace and curse, as successive political leadership had  manifested unmitigated and crass unpatriotic predisposition to " appropriate and steal public wealth" thus, the history of  Nigeria revolves around consistently failed attempts to stimulate, sustainable human development.

Hence, after wallowing and reeling from one developmental fad  to another, the economic and socio-political circumstances of the nationhood are fundamentally deteriorating.

As a corollary of the above, the Nigeria of 57 years is still in search of her destiny as the material circumstances of citizenry is regrettable on the lowest ebb.

This article is open to constructive critics.
