OPINION: Diego Costa? You Can Be Replaced!

As the picture of Diego Costa with his dog on ski jet in a lonely beach emerged this afternoon, I remembered that his teammates are on tour of champions in Asia but he's drowning in loneliness, hugging his dog and probably begging stray divers for a selfie.

The depressed looking Costa was highly rated in his 3 years at Stamford Bridge until the fusillades of his vices overcame him. Call it pride, arrogance or just penchant for unnecessary tension, Costa has created enormous troubles that are threatening to consume his enviable career.

That was a similar path taken by Saul before his journey to the valley of Gibeah where the enemies cut off his head. Handsome, elegant and even became a prophet after his coronation, Saul had everything kings needed to succeed. He twice embraced rebellion and was replaced with David.

Morally, Saul was better than David. That's what people are struggling to grasp. Some Chelsea fans are arguing that Costa is a better striker than Morata. What they don't know is that Costa also had a better goal per minute ratio than Drogba. It isn't just about goals but about the team.

He was loved at Chelsea; his picture and 'De Gov'nor' tag always on display at Shed End on every home match, a treat that Hazard, Drogba, Lampard and Terry never enjoyed. His talent had taken him to a high place where his character could not keep him. He will miss Stamford Bridge but that was his own creation.
