OPINION: The Destiny Of A Leader Determined To Fight Dangerous Corrupt Government Officials

That was the second time the president of Lilu Progressive Union was being rushed back to the herbal home of Native Doctor Nwakobe Muonagolum of Otolo Nnewi.

Mr. Ntike Ekwekwe, as a contestant to the presidency of his town union, had promised to fight entrenched interests in the town, especially the former executives of the town union, market associations and the leadership of the village vigilante groups to a wild applause of the long suffering villagers who massively voted for him.

Some weeks before he was inaugurated as the President General of Lilu Progressive Union, Dr. Otuo Ogbajie advised the newly elected president to face forward and forget probing the past if he wanted to have a peaceful reign but he was ignored.

The refusal of Mr. Ekwekwe to back off annoyed Dr. Otuo Ogbajie who was an Igbowide acclaimed dangerous native doctor.

Otuo Ogbajie was so named because it was claimed that he could cause a living tree to dry up and break into two by mere pointing his fingers at it. So would he point at a human and the target would fall and die.

In less than 12 months, Mr. Ekwekwe had either harassed or forced the obviously corrupt former town officials to refund their loot or made to promise to refund or face prosecution. He focused on the adamant ones especially those worked for his opponents during the elections.

It then happened that all the hunted elites had to convene a meeting with all the dangerous native doctors in the former Nnewi Local Government under the leadership of Dr. Otuo Ogbajie to contain their common threat.

The witch doctors found out that the town union president,Mr. Ekwekwe could not be killed as his Chi or destiny wouldn't allow a man-made death but he could be incapacitated because he had unwittingly collected donations from some of those he presently hunt during his campaigns.

He would have been inscrutable if he didn't accept and utilize part of the unclean money from corrupt people he planned to hunt. That's was a violation of a spiritual law that says that "onye talu okpa ebule ji ibi ugwo" meaning that "any man  who eats the testicles of a ram is indebted to the disease of scrotal elephantiasis".

That was how the negative doctors tampered with the hearing functions of Mr. Ntike Ekwekwe's ear to ascertain if he would get the message but he didn't.

Looking for cure, Mr. Ntike Ekwekwe immediately dashed to Nnewi, the former headquarters of his local government to meet Nwakobe the foremost native doctor who diagnosed the illness and cured the "ntike" or "hard hearing" disease.

Nwakobe cleared his patient and certified him fit to return to his town, Lilu.

Nnewi was the former headquarters to Lilu before the town was batched with other neighbouring towns to form another independent local government known as Nnewi South Local Government Area.

A resolute Mr. Ntike Ekwekwe returned to his town after his discharge from Nwakobe's herbal home with a greater vigour to fulfill his mandate.

It was long before his detractors afflicted him with okili mgbawaisi and ume ngwu meaning incurable headache and tiresomeness diseases which was to bogging for his age.

Mr. Ekwekwe initially thought that he could manage but had to be rushed out of Lilu to Nwakobe's herbal hospital at Nnewi and was put on admission and long recuperating schedule.

His aides were warned not disclose the details of his illness in order not glory his transducers.

Many people with spiritual eyes wished that  president Ntike Ekwekwe would realize that the wicked people he wanted to deal with had got the witch doctors to increase the tempo of his sickness any time he crossed the boundaries between Nnewi and Lilu.

Indeed, many perceptible people in Nigeria have had to flee from their work places or have resigned from very top juicy positions in government or in blue chip companies to save their lives.

There are some curable strange sicknesses that would only return to their suffers if they dare go back to the contentious position or seat because evil people have an eye on those seat.

God is yet to disarm Satan. Until then, he would still be availing his services to his customers, which include our dangerous corrupt political leaders.
