Opinion on Ahiara diocese and the visit to Rochas Okorocha by Mbaise catholic priests, by Tobenna Obiano

I find it extremely disturbing, unbelievable and incredibly shocking to learn that after solid five years of unrepentant initial gra gra and show-offs, the Mbaise Catholic Priests chose non other in the entire wide world to run to in hope of aiding them with their quest to achieve or undo the stand of the Holy Roman Catholic Church through the Pope.

It is extremely out of the blues that aside the very many matured, informed, sane, sound and seasoned persons this world, the African continent, the Nigerian nation-state and indeed Imo State can boost of, if tuned out that they chose the failed, unprogressive and clearly clueless Rochas Okorocha, the Governor of Imo State as their messiah.

For heaven's sake, why, when and how has the standard of the Catholic Church in Imo State and particularly, in Mbaise fallen so low, it is very cheap to make a choice of a man who runs a catastrophically failed, visionessless, missionless and as well, an ambitionless Goverment as final resort to stand against the church and the world.

Mbaise Priests would have made a better choice of say, a nincompoop from the street of Lagos than the landlord of the former Douglas house, now renamed the People's house who just like his APC Federal Government has incredibly turned to running a Caesar-like disastrous Government.

The world knows that Gov. Okorocha who just like President Buhari came with litanies of promises to better Imo State has against same promises continued to drag ndi-Imo from a formerly progressive and futuristic state to a joke of a state.

No doubt, former Governor, Ikedi Ohakim might not be a saint, but when a subtle comparison is made between his Government and the joke Imo has now as Government, the startling difference well places Mr. Ohakim clearly above par and many may even think of the later, as saintly. Is this the man who the Mbaise Catholic Priests ran to for mercy?

To some of us, the choice of Rochas Okorocha is a No, No. We are still in rude shock and total sense of loss and disbelief. A very unintelligent wrong move and choice by a class of "hopefully" smart persons. You guys can do better than this

Of all choices open to mankind, imagine Rochas Okorocha, mba kwa oo!
