Obiano's Campaign Promises And His Political Sins, By Muoneme

I have heard so many people asking me and even calling me to stop my heavy bombardment against my state Governor. That I have so much hatred for him.
Far from it, I don't and will not hate Obiano but his style of Governance. This is a man whom we all give our all and all to campaign for when I noticed that the candidate I was gunning wasn't a serious one.

Anyway the calls and texts are overwhelming hence I decided that today I will list the political sins of Obiano.

Obiano Political Sins

Mind you that Dr Willie Maduabuchi Obiano anchored his campaign of 2013 on 4C which is;
-Continuity.
-Completion.
-Commission.
-Commencement.

We all know the meaning of this 4Cs. The meaning is very simple,

-That Obiano will continue from were his predecessor stopped.

-That Obiano will Complete all the projects started by his predecessor.

-That Obiano will commission all the projects started by his predecessor.

-That Obiano will now commence from that point of every other project of his choice.

Now in analyzing this 4Cs,the key question is, did Obiano keep to it?
The very answer is nothing but No! Ndi Anambra this is not about Peter Obi, Chris Ngige, Willie M Obiano, Dr. Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah, Andy Uba,  George Moghalu, Obinna Uzoh, Victor Umeh, Chinedu Idigo, Dr Chike Obidigbo Okelekwe Kodilichukwu and  Godwin Chukwunenye Ezeemo etc.

This is about our dear state Anambra. This is about the core value of principle of good governance we share in this state. This is all about political principle of our dear state.
Before, when it comes to project comparison, we only compare with states like Rivers, Akwa Ibom, Lagos and Enugu in terms of infrastructural and human development. But today we now compare and compete with state like Osun, Ebonyi and Imo.

Before I digress what are the sins of Obiano?  Today I will list the abandoned projects of Obiano campaign of 4Cs. Mind you that 75-80% of the infrastructural and many projects of the past government were abandoned by His Excellency to start another cosmetic costly projects. I will list the projects according to Zones. The abandoned projects are;

Awka_Zone

1. Green Wood Estate
2. New Government House at Green Wood Estate
3. Anambra State Conference Center.
4. Awka Shopping Mall.
5. Completion of all roads in Ngozika Estate.

Instead of completing this projects of which the projects quote is not much he embarked on;

1. 15 billion naira three flyovers known as Okwabe Ikwube.
2. 100 Million naira Govt house gate.
4. About 400 Million naira renovation of Govt house known as Agu Awka.
5. 300 Million Naira painting of Governor's Lodge Amawbia.

Now news is flying around that he is building his own shopping mall beside the Wife new filling station in Agu Awka.

Nnewi_Zone

1. Nnewi Shopping Mall started by his Predecessor.
2. Expansion of Nkwo Nnewi Triangle road.

It is on record that Willie Obiano didn't touch the shopping mall but left it the way and level which his predecessor reached before he left. Thus it is on record that no single project have been completed or have been started in Nnewi by this government till date.

Onitsha_Zone

1. Onitsha Five Star Hotel, in this very case it was sold to one of the cronies known as the Cardinal.

2. 3,3 Roads and Akpaka estate road.

When it comes to Onitsha the only project which was on 75% completion before Obiano took over  was Onitsha shopping mall and also completing the beautification of Inisi Onira round about which was on 90% completion. Please note that Upper Iweka beautification was started and finished by Peter Obi. This is on record.

Agulu_Zone

1. Agulu Lake Five Star Resort Hotel.
2. Some internal road projects.

This hotel could have been the best hotel in east of the Niger had Obiano's govt completed it. But rather the government did not put any kobo in the project. Immediately Chinese exhausted the money paid by the past administration, they simply lock up the place and left. Today that hotel is fighting with erosion menace. But it is on record that Obiano pledged to Ndi Agulu when the pressure became much to complete the hotel before December 2016, now did he keep to that promise?  That answer is left for Agulu people to answer.

Other numerous promises of campaign Obiano never fulfilled;

1. Bursary for Anambra Students.
2. Free medical treatment for Anambra Senior Citizens.

Now what are the achievements of Obiano;

1. Security base on the solid foundation of law and logistics laid by the last govt.
2. Purchasing Few Indian Tata Bus bus for BRT instead of our own Standard Innoson BRT.

2. Buying cops cars from Toyota and abandoning the log existing contract of promoting our own Innoson. The cops car are few now, others we don't know where they are and so on.

The conclusion is that as far as this government is concern, they are known for not being sincere. All the project of this government are on white paper and internet material, none on ground.
The 2.5 billion dollars airport project is another financial game coming up in Anambra. Only if you are aware what it took Nigeria to secure 500 million dollars for airport projects across the nation and Anambra is going for 2.5 billion dollars project?  Just think about this mortgaging of the state. But this is another oncoming investigative report I will give about this latest brouhaha. You cannot place something on nothing and expect it to stand, definitely it will collapse.

There are many questions this government will answer which I will just keep until the appropriate time mana ka ana eje na ubi Oka ka ube na acha!
