Wayne Rooney donates £100,000 to victims of Manchester terror attack

Manchester United star Wayne Rooney has donated £100,000 to help victims of the Manchester bombing.

The donation, made through the striker's foundation, aims to provide support and help for victims and their families after the terror attack on Monday night left 22 people dead and more than 100 requiring hospital treatment.

In a statement on the charity's page, Rooney said: 'There are moments in life that instantly affect you and stop you in your tracks. Monday night was one of those occasions."
