Nothing to show that Obiano is prepared for re-election — APGA BoT member, Ezeonwuka laments

Obiano and Ezeonwuka
A Board of Trustees (BoT) member of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Chief Rommy Ezeonwuka, has expressed doubts on the chances of their party winning the Nov. 18 gubernatorial election in Anambra State.

Ezeonwuka expressed concern over the “seeming lacklustre approach” by APGA’s handlers, saying there was nothing on ground to suggest readiness for the election.

Governor Willie Obiano, the only serving governor in Nigeria under the umbrella of APGA might seek for a second term under the same party in the November election.

Addressing newsmen yesterday in Oba in Idemili South, Ezeonwuka said that the opposition parties in Anambra were catching-in on the alleged lacklustre attitude of government by vigorously getting into the nooks and crannies in the state.

“There are no indices on ground to show that the party or Gov. Willie Obiano is prepared for the contest, which would determine the future of APGA in Nigeria.

“In election you, have to make friends, you have to cut-across, you have to negotiate, you don’t win while sitting in your house; you just need more friends than enemies because not even the big parties win alone,” he said.
