Kidnappers Abduct Pastor, Demand N5Million Ransom

Pastor James Effiong Okon of The Apostolic Church in Zaria was on Tuesday abducted while on his way from Zaria to Kaduna.

Pastor Okon was the former area superintendent at the Apostolic Church, Lawna Cote D’Ivoire before he was transferred to Zaria. He is also the founder of Kingdom Business Foundation (KBF).

A source close to the victim’s family told our reporter that the Pastor went to preach in Zaria and was coming back to Kaduna where he resides with his family. “He was kidnapped at Maraban Jos and we learnt the kidnappers followed Birnin Gwari road,” he said.

Daily Trust gathered that the kidnappers have demanded for N5million ransom.

The Kaduna State Command Police spokesperson, Aliyu Usman did not respond to calls put to his line.
