Join APC now to retain your seat — Orji Uzor Kalu advises Obiano

A former governor of Abia State, Dr Orji Uzor Kalu, has asked Governor Willie Obiano of Anambra State to cross over to the All Progressives Congress (APC) in order to retain his seat in the November 18 governorship election.

He said the party was ever willing to welcome Obiano into its fold before the election.

Obiano is seeking for a second term under the platform of All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA).

Addressing APC state executives in Awka, Kalu, who is the vice chairman of the 8-man committee recently set up by the South East zone of the party, to coordinate the governorship election, cited Obiano’s under-performance as major reason for the call for his removal.

“Obiano is our friend but his administration is not good for Ndi Anambra; so we are going to remove him. If he wants, let him come over to APC but if not, we are taking over the state.

“Those of you who know your governor should tell him that there is still chance for him to come in before we close the doors of the party next month,” Kalu said.
