How Gunmen Abducted House Reps Member, Garba

The lawmaker representing Takai/Sumaila federal constituency of Kano state, Garba Durbunde, has been abducted by unknown gunmen.

Durbunde was reportedly abducted along Kaduna-Jere Road on Tuesday while returning to the federal capital territory (FCT) after a trip to Kano.

Though details are still sketchy as of the time of this report, the kidnappers have contacted the lawmaker’s family.

Abdullahi Ganduje, governor of Kano, has expressed shock over the incident, describing it as “act of wickedness perpetrated by evil and cold-hearted elements”.
