[PHOTOS] IPOB protests in Nnewi today, demands immediate release of Nnamdi Kanu, others

Over 200 members of the Indigenous People Of Biafra (IPOB) were on a solidarity rally today, April 4th in Nnewi Anambra State for the release of the director of Radio Biafra,  Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and other detainees, cfrmagazine.com reports.

According to one of the members, Mazi Igwebuike who spoke to our correspondent, they were very disappointed with Buhari led Federal Government for continuous detention of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu without bail and recent reports of secret trials.

He said, "were are not happy at all the way Buhari and Nigerian government are treating our leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu. He should be released immediately because he has done nothing wrong to anybody.

"This is not a military regime. Recently, they said he'll be tried secretly, for what? The Nigerian security operatives are secretly killing our members. As you can see, we're not armed, so why would they go ahead and kill innocent people that simply embark on a peaceful demonstration. Nigerian government has killed a lot of us and we're not relenting until they succeed in killing everyone of us."
