The unspoken sexual trials of an unmarried born again Christian

A senior seminarian, Bro. Igwenagu was shell-shocked as the Archbishop of Onitsha announced to him that his priestly vocation was over. 
Once a bishop declares any seminarian unfit to be ordained a priest, that's it. Catholic bishops have such destiny reordering powers. 

It was a week before the deaconate or deacon ordination of Igwenagu and his classmates at the Bigard Memorial Major Seminary, Enugu. 

The prospective deacons including Bro. Igwenagu were already encamped for a two-week retreat preparatory for their deaconate ordination, were in high spirits and were already dreaming of their post-ordination assignments when the bishop sent for Igwenagu.

Catholics are ordained priests six months after deaconate ordination, all things being equal.

Some deacons may elect to remain permanent deacons or be made to remain so by their Bishop if he believes that the deacon can't function well as a priest. A permanent deacon may marry if he so wishes.

But Igwenagu didn't even make it to the diaconate. He was dismissed few days to deaconate ordination.

But, who told the Archbishop what was supposed to be a secret between him and the surgeon that performed the operation?

Is the bishop a wizard?

Igwenagu's zeal for God is even known to the Archbishop and his formators but that's not the issue here as the Archbishop told him, "a priest is a sacrifice to God and the sacrifice must be whole and spotless. As the chief priest, I cannot offer you to God because you wilfully castrated yourself".

Who could blame Bro. Igwenagu?

In deference to the words of Jesus in Mark 9:43, whereby Jesus asked his followers to cut off whatever that would prevent them from entering the kingdom of God, Bro. Igwenagu, the seminarian had approached a surgeon to have his testicles removed to kill his sexual desires before his penis led him to hell.

Igwenagu had prayed all manner of prayers for God to numb his ever standing penis or sexual urges without result. The prayers didn't also stop him from having multiple wet dreams.

Except when he closed his eyes in prayers, anytime he sighted a girl with a designer set of breasts or curved hips, his manhood would not only change from vertical to horizontal position, it would also nod like agama lizard before it would start to drip slimy liquid.

The continuous mishaviour of his deviant third leg has made Bro. Igwenagu to always wear double pants as a girdle.

Being true to his calling, Igwenagu didn't commit fornication but he had released enough spermatozoa in his action-packed wet dreams that would make a sperm bank owner accuse him of waste.

His nights were usually full of activities as he would be making love to all those girls he photographed by moping or steadied looks in the day time.

Bro. Igwenagu's bedspreads had become so thickened with starch-like sperms that someone might innocently wonder whether be poured akamu on his bed every night.

Outside of this strong sex drive which had become his cross, Bro. Igwenagu was a firebrand prayer warrior and many people had attested to the healing power of his prayers. And he preached well too.

Could it be the same challenge that my tongue speaking friend named Joachim faced in the university?

Bro.Joe was faithful to morning cries and preaching of the Goodnews in between two lecture periods as we awaited the next lecturers.

Nobody had seen Bro. Joe around female hostels or entertain a solitary female visitor in his room. He was a true christian and walked the talk.

I had visited Joachim at his hostel and saw him washing a heap of clothes.

I could easily read the maps of Cameroon, Algeria and Congo on his short pants and night wears.

The starched up and very visible spottings were so thick and could not have been sweat marks.

I jokingly  asked my friend to remember to ask God for forgiveness for whatever that made him starch those clothes.

My friend grinned, gazed embarrassingly at me and immersed all the clothes in his bucket before another prying eyes joined mine in beholding his dark side.

One should reasonably think that when a man becomes born again that all parts of his body would conform to the commitment the man has made with his heart and mind.

But that is not so. A man's penis is not a christian. It has its own sensors usually linked to the eyes.

Could it be the reason why penis is located outside the body of a man? Is it why it's temperature is different from that of the body temperature?

Forget the criminal pretenses of many repented brothers. An exposé into what goes on in their minds both when they are awake or asleep would confound their admirers.

What a man of God presently living is closer to God than King David? The same David that was betrayed by his third leg to covet a beautiful wife of Uriah he saw bathing from his veranda.

Which priest or pastor would be as favoured, holy and as wise as Solomon who the Queen of Sheba made to cringe?

Sampson was described as spirit-filled and a strong man when Delaila arrived. His Penis led to his destruction.

Sisters, when you see that brother or man of God intently looking at you in the church or elsewhere, your image may end up or be a guest in his dream bed.

In that dream state, it is a bliss. The christian sister or any other girl mentally photographed by the dreamy brother is usually pliable, obedient, amenable and everything is very sweet.

The girl in the dream does not resist whatever the dreamy brother wants to do or wants done to him.

And the blissful sex is never interrupted as the man in the dream has all the time he needs to come or to starch his night wears or bedspread.

Some biological scientists would see no sin in a wet dream but would insist that is the other way the body gets the brain to stage a dream episode that will bring about a ventilation when there is an accumulation of excess sperm in the storage tanks or scrotum.

But, what about its occurrence in the married pastors or born again christians?

I can confirm that this trial or temptation continues in the life of a Man of God or a spirit-filled christian even after getting married  as was proven in the case of David with Bathsheba.

Many of my ever-ready to preach brethren  may attempt to deny this reality by quoting  St. Paul in 1Cor 14:32 that "the spirits of prophets are subject to the control of prophets". But penis is no spirit but flesh.

Jesus knew of this frailty in man when he said in Matthew 26:41 that "...the spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak."
