Oliseh’s Sittard Lose Again As Nwakali Wins With Maastricht

Ten-man Fortuna Sittard lost for the third time under former Nigeria coach Sunday Oliseh on Monday, going down 2-0 at home to NAC Breda in a Dutch second division league clash.

Second-half goals from Bart Meijers and James Horsfield condemned Fortuna Sittard to their 14th defeat of the season in the Eerste Divisie.

Oliseh has now recorded four wins, four draws and three defeats since he took charge in January.

Fortuna Sittard will host De Graafschap in their next game on Friday.

Oliseh’s side now occupy the 16th position with 31 points from 30 games.

Elsewhere in Holland, Kelechi Nwakali was in action for 90 minutes in MVV Maastricht’s 4-1 win over Jong FC Utrecht.

It was the former Nigeria U-17 midfielder’s 23rd appearance for the sixth-placed team. He has scored once.

Goals from Patrick Nkoyi, Joeri Schroyen, Pieter Nys, Emrullah Guvenc moved MVV Maastricht to third in the league table.
