I have been harbouring the above thought for quite some time now and have been afraid to write or voice it out because many would doubt my Catholic or Christian faith.
I was compelled to discuss or write about it today and at the same time seek forgiveness from die judges and knowers of the inner recesses of God's being and essence.
My deep feeling that God has a wife is informed by many scattered circumstantial pieces of evidence in the Bible and in the not too logical christian beliefs and practices.
God in Genesis 1:26 said "Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness..." and Adam, a man, was created.
Jesus, the Son of God, told us that "whoever that sees him has seen the Father ie God". Therefore, since Jesus was man, then God must have the same physique and body parts like His son and mankind.
Stephen's account in Acts 7:57 of seeing the "Son of Man standing at the right hand of God" further lends credence that God has a right hand just as we human.
The amazing but intriguing part of the body of Adam to me, is his penis with its erectile and ejaculative characteristics.
Note that Adam was created in God's likeness.
It's therefore logical to conclude that God should have a functional penal organ like we human.
Genesis 1:27 made it clear that God "created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them."
An image is a mirror of the original hence God looks like man.
It also follows that there are in existence, female divine beings like mankind who God made male and female in his own image.
Genesis 2:22 recounts how God himself made Eve with his own hand as "... the Lord God made a woman from the rib he had taken out of the man, and he brought her to the man".
Note that the vaginal, breasts and all the errogenious spots on a woman with their allure were carved and fitted by God with his hand. He must have had in mind the real image or a woman-like reality he was replicating because he dubbed his finished work an image.
It is simple a logic that all that is in today's woman was in Eve.
It is not disputable that Adam and Eve bore their children via sexual intercourse resulting in pregnancy and finally partuition (or giving birth) the way all human beings are born.
Bible reckons with the fact that the capacity to have sexual organs and their usage is both carnal and divine. Yes, it is there!
In Genesis 6, "when men began to multiply on the face of the land, and daughters were born to them, the sons of God saw that the daughters of men were beautiful; and they took wives for themselves, whomever they chose"
Genesis 6:4 further revealed that "...when the sons of God impregnated the daughters of men, and they bore children to them. Those were the mighty men who were of old, men of renown."
If Adam and Eve were not prevented from eating from the tree of life, they would have become immortal and would have lived like God.
God had to send angels with flaming swords to guard and prevent Adam and Eve from accessing the Tree of Life after their fall.
Do you know that 48 hours before a human monarch or president of a country arrives a venue, that secret police would have combed the venue and beyond to remove possible threats to the life of the head of government?
Before the head of state arrives, his advance party including drivers, cooks and any other person needed to play a role in the visit would have arrived much earlier.
Is it possible that God wouldn't have sent an advance party to herald the coming of His Son into the world?
God had hinted through Malachi in chapter 4:5 "Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the great and awesome day of the LORD comes."
Even the sent Elijah in form of John the Baptist didn't couldn't remember who he formerly was and what he used to know before he was sent through the stomach of Elizabeth.
This lack of awareness of divine status happened to Mary too. It the Holy Spirit to possess Elizabeth to call Mary "the Mother of God".
Only Jesus know who he was before and after incarnation. But he had always called Mary "Mother".
Jesus was to confirm that John the Baptist was actually an officer in heaven when he talked about his rank when he said in Matthew 11:11 "truly I say to you, among those born of women there has not arisen anyone greater than John the Baptist! Yet the one who is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he."
In audacious statement in Matthew 11:14, Jesus said to his disciples, "And if you are willing to accept it, John himself is Elijah who was to come."
Was it not possible that Joseph was an aide camp in heaven sent to guard Mary and Child Jesus? Once he accomplished his task, we never heard about him again. Bible didn't say that he died or was buried.
I'm afraid to state that Mary must have been God's wife who was sent in advance to conceive and carry Jesus. This is fact corroborated by fact that God assumed or transported her body into heaven after her earthly sojourn. Her body didn't suffer corruption.
The account of how Mary conceived Jesus is awe-inspiring.
Angel Gabriel hinted how Jesus was conceived in Luke 1:35 as he addressed Mary thus: "The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. So the baby to be born will be holy, and he will be called the Son of God".
Many women being laid by spiritual husbands alone could relate to, understand and explain what happened to Mary that led to the birth of Jesus.
The people who call Mary through mother of God may be right without knowing how.
Because Jesus is said to "begotten no made", could it be that Mary was still the same Mother of Jesus in heaven before he came to the world?
Bible said that God sent us Jesus his "only begotten Son".
Won't God the master planner send an advance party of the heavenly mother of Jesus as he sent Elijah in John?
What is my fault if I posit that God created us in His own image and therefore Jesus had a mother in heaven before he was sent to the world.
All christians agree that God is the father of Jesus but I dare posit without being so sure that Mary was the wife of God in Heaven and was sent as John and Joseph to come bear Jesus here on earth.
All those unproven allusions that Mary is the Queen of Heaven may well be true.
A queen is the wife of a King.
