BREAKING: Senate 'Dismisses' Ali, Tells him to return on Wednesday in uniform

For not wearing complete uniform as instructed, the Senate on Thursday sent back the Comptroller-General of Nigeria Customs Service, NCS, Col. Hameed Ibrahim Ali, rtd and come back next week Wednesday. 

He was asked to leave the plenary because rather than wear complete Customs Uniform, he appeared on white Kaftan, white cap and black shoes.

Ali who entered the Chambers at 12 noon, started answering questions from the Senators on why he did not wear Uniform at 12.07.

The Customs boss who came with all Customs officers who all wore Uniform, was asked to leave the chambers at 12.40 pm. He was however asked to lead by example.

Ali who had earlier arrived at around 9.30 am, went straight to the office of the Senate President, Senator Bukola Saraki. He was led to the office by the Senoir Special Assistant to the President on National Assembly Matters(Senate), Senator Ita Enang.

Ali who dressed in white Kaftan, white cap and black shoes to match, went to Enang’s office at 10.36am shortly after Ekweremadu and other principal officers entered the chambers.
