[Full Pictures] Governor Obiano, Senator Ngige others in Nnewi as FC Ifeanyi Ubah defeat Al Masry of Egypt

FC Ifeanyi Ubah started their CAF Confederation Cup campaign on a winning note with a 1-0 win against Egyptian side Al Masry in what was the first leg of the preliminary round at the Ifeanyi Ubah Stadium in Anambra State.

Cameroonian midfielder, Tamen Medrano scored the only goal for the home side to give his side a win over the Egyptians. The former Sunshine Stars midfielder finished off from Isaac Loute’s pass in the 87th minute.

FC IfeanyiUbah will need to avoid defeat in the second leg slated for Egypt next weekend (Sunday) to qualify for the first round with the winner expected to face Malian side AC Djoliba.

Meanwhile, the Governor of Anambra State, Chief Willie Obiano, Minister for labour and productivity, Senator Chris Ngige, Chief Cletus Ibeto and many others joined Dr. Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah during the match.
