Woman Narrates how she found out her husband duped her after their traditional wedding [Must Read]

I used to know this guy way back when we were still very young, I was around 11 then and still in primary school, but he left later to another location which I never knew, we happened to be from the same village, in fact his place is not far from my paternal home.

April 2015, several years after we lost contact, he called me and said he has been searching for my number and got it in January from my mum whom he ran into in the village.

He told me that he has been praying to God for directions before calling me and God has finally told him that I am his wife, he wanted to get married to me immediately but I told him to wait let's get to know each others first, he visited me where I lived, he lodged in a hotel for 3 days, I was with him there but he never asked for sex, aside the usual hogs pecks and kisses, I was so happy that this guy is truly God fearing, he was always praying and talking about God and heaven and church and true repentance, he was always praying for people on phone.

I visited him in Abuja but didn't stay at his place, rather he took me to his pastor's house because he said it was wrong for me to be seen sleeping at his house before marriage and that could make the church marriage committee to cancel the wedding,  we did our church introduction and blood tests and I asked him to at least take me to see where he lives which he did, before I went back to the east to continue with my work.

We started our  traditional marriage preparations and got married December 2015, 8 months after we met, I asked him everything I felt I should know about him and took his words for it believing that he won't lie to me since we are from the same village and he will have no reason to lie but after our traditional marriage.

I was using his phone to play music one day and came across this recorded conversation between him and a man he was calling man of God and the man was telling him that I have plenty money and was only pretending not to have money that I will bring the money out that he should be patience with me, that was when I started doing my investigation and realised that every thing, absolutely everything this guy told me was a lie.

He said he was into road construction and owns a foodstuff shop where he goes to anytime there is no much work in the construction company but he has a boy managing the shop for him, he told me he bought a land In abuja and has cows that one aboki man was helping him to groom.

Even the frequent church and vigil going was all lies,  he goes to church and also lie to people there including pastors and members, he does not have any means of livelihood, no accommodation, the house he took me to belongs to a man he does cleaning for, he only follows some big men around to get small money from them, he told me he has money in about 3 of his account to take care of his family's need till I settle down and start working too to support.

I took the account to some friends I have in the bank and there was nothing in them, only one has #3000 (Three thousand naira only)

Immediately I confronted him about my findings he dropped the call and changed his lines, I called his mum and uncle and told them about this and his uncle said that he felt I knew all these and still wanted to marry him, his mum tried calling him but his lines are off.

Right now I am so weak ashamed of myself for falling foolishly into such scam with my eyes open, heart broken, ,the worst was that the guy lied about being a graduate kai, but I am grateful to God that it was only traditional marriage we did before these truth came out,  Now I am back to square 0, I lost my job, I am 35 and single again, and I keep asking myself, why this guy chose me of all girls to do this to.
