Tension in Ihiala Over Rumoured Robbery

There was palpable tension in Ihiala area on Wednesday, December 21st, following reports that armed robbers were about to storm new generation banks in the area.

An unconfirmed reports initially claimed there was robbery going on, but when our correspondent arrived the area, it was relatively calm amidst tight security.

All the banks around there hurriedly closed immediately to avoid the repeat of what happened the previous day in Ukpor, a neighbouring town.

In Ukpor the robbers operated freely and reportedly made away with huge amount of money.

Ihiala is a town in Ihiala Local Government Area of Anambra State, sharing border with Uli, Okija, Ubuluisizo, Isseke .
