Suspected arsonists have razed a police station under construction at Mkpuunando in Anambra East Local Government Area.
The traditional ruler of Mkpunando, Igwe Alex Edozieuno, disclosed this to journalists in Awka, the Anambra State capital on Saturday.
Edozieuno said he had written to the state Governor, Willie Obiano, and the Inspector-General of Police, Ibrahim Idris, on the development.
In a petition dated December 8, 2016, Igwe Edozieuno, said since the said traditional ruler came into office a few months ago, his ambition had been to dominate the area as a fiefdom.
Edozieuno said the armed thugs, numbering 15, attacked the police station and burnt it down on December 7, adding that there was nothing his people could do.
