South African Singer, Sfiso Ncwane who bought a R1.9 Mercedes benz for his Nigerian pastor is dead

It has been confirmed that gospel singer Sfiso Ncwane has died

A family spokesperson confirmed to TshisaLIVE that Sfiso was rushed to hospital on Sunday night.

"His wife called the paramedics. He was feeling weak and he was admitted to hospital at 7:30pm," said Sipho Makhabane.

Makhabane has confirmed that the gospel star died less than 24 hours later.

"His family from KZN to Joburg at the moment. Everyone is in shock," he said.

Ncwane produced award winning hits including Phakama Nkosi yeZulu and Kulungile Baba. He won record of the year at the 2013 SAMAs.

The singer made headlines last year after he bought his pastor a R1.9 Mercedes.

Last year, Sfiso made headlines after he bought this car for his pastor, Francis Anosike

The Kulungile Baba hitmaker said that Pastor Anosike "saved his life through prayer" and he felt he had to repay him.

It was later reported that he was struggling to make the payments.

News of his death first hit social media after a woman by the name of Mmatona Ntuane, who apparently works at the KZN Department of Health, broke the news on Twitter.
