The Donald Trumped the Historical Reprehensible Corruption, By Olusegun Phillips

Congratulations to the President-elect, Mr. Donald J. Trump for winning the election to become the 45th President of the United States despite the fierce oppositions and the wicked political intriguesThe Donald Trumped the Historical Reprehensible Corruption (HRC) unleashed against him. Mr. Trump has indeed engineered a people’s revolution to quash the evil forces of the corrupt and senseless globalization.

The power of citizens has Trumped the political schisms of the few powerful establishment elitists and thwarted the undue influence of the dishonest media. No one saw this coming, not the corrupt and dishonest media, not the soothsayers, not the prophets, and not the political wonks. As the political analysts theorized about what is next for Trump after his failed presidential bid, I deliberate on how history will handle the outstanding success of his American first ideology.

I remember the accuracy of my prognosis regarding the 45th President of the United States of America. By the end of May 2015 virtually all my friends and acquaintances had concluded that this presidential election would be the coronation of a particular female politician. Just like the Prophet Samuel at the house of Jesse, I told my friends that the man who will become the next president of the USA is yet to join the presidential race as of the end of May 2015.

Instead of a political coronation, I saw the sudden rise of a highly accomplished male candidate ordained to restore the USA and reshape global order.  I understand this candidate will be so underrated, disliked, maligned, and detracted by the Washington establishment, the political elites, and the media.  I told my friends that the right candidate will take the campaign and the election cycle by storm from beginning to end despite all the oppositions against him.

When Donald J. Trump announced the beginning of his presidential campaign, I told my wife “the Donald J. Trump you see on your television screen is your next President”. She said no, that will never happen. My wife vowed to leave the USA if Donald Trump or Hillary Clinton becomes the next President. I told her, she will not need to move because Donald Trump will succeed and possibly rank among the best Presidents in the history of this nation.

In April of this year, I discussed the US presidential election with a renown Nigerian Prophet who recently prophesied the victory of a female candidate. I told him explicitly that Mr. Donald Trump will become the 45th President of the United States. This famous clergy disagreed, all I can tell him was time will tell. Two weeks ago, another pastor friend of mine who lives in Dallas TX area reminded me of the prophecy of another potent Nigerian prophet regarding the accession of a female US President. He disagreed with my prognosis about the impending Trump presidency, I also told him time will tell.

The lesson of this electoral process is that you can never say never, neither is it over until it is finally over. Never underrate the ability of a few determined people to change the world, it is the only thing that has ever and will always change the world. The will of the people is still the driving force of free and fair democracy, not the emotional opinion of any fallible prophet.

I hope the outcome of this presidential election reminds the dishonest, biased, and partisan press that the people are smart enough to see through their murky smokescreen of misleading polls and over sensitized fabricated scandals.  The mainstream media owes the people a huge apology for running juiced polls, and for their demeaning patronage of Mr. Trump, his movement, and his supporters.

Thank God for the new lease of life that defines the day after election day, the election dust has settled, and the peoples’ choice can get to work on the job of nation building. The USA is blessed with the cultural intelligence and the political maturity to heal quickly and leave every hurtful election rhetoric at the polling station dumpster. The beauty of Jeffersonian democracy is that no matter how hard fought the election is, the ideological electoral differences paves the way for a unified, stronger, and formidable nation.

As I close, I borrow from the words of Prophet Isaiah 45:1, as the man whose right hand the Lord has anointed to govern the affairs of the world for the next four years, I humbly ask Mr. Trump to please keep the promises he made to the American people. I pray he will be fair to all men and respect and follow his inner God-man that motivated him to run for the office of the President of the United States. I pray that God will give him the wisdom and the courage to govern right, and the grace to be successful where the others have failed.

Congratulations, and long-lived the President-elect Donald J. Trump and his team. God, bless the USA.
