UKWU-OFFOR-UMUNNEALAM-AGWURIA-AFOR-UKPOR ROAD
The construction of Umunnealam-Agwuria-Afor-Ukpor road began this week. When our correspondent visited the area, the first phase of the road construction was seriously ongoing.
According to reports, the road which was courtesy of Hon. Chris Azubogu, member representing Nnewi South, Nnewi North and Ekwusigo federal constituency, will be handled by three construction companies.
The first company will start from Afor to Ubu bridge, the second construction company will start from Ukwu Offor(Nnewi axis) down to ubu Agwuria, while the third company will construct the Ubu-Agwuria bridge.
It was also gathered that the road is due to be completed within 1 year, as enough fund has been released.

COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT PROJECT:
Meanwhile, the community development project initiated by the Anambra State Governor, Chief Willie Obiano has equally begun at Afor Ukpor. The project is expected to be completed in January. See photos below:
UKPOR-OZUBULU ROAD:
In a similar development, there is a report that work will resume on the abandoned Ukpor-Ozubulu road next week. More details later.
OKIJA-UKPOR-EBENATOR ROAD:
Also this week, our correspondent gathered that the ministry of works was in Ukpor to inspect the abandoned Okija-Ukpor-Ebenator road. There is high expectation that work will equally resume very soon.
