On November 23rd 2016, Governor Willie Obiano of Anambra State and the revered royal father of Nnewi, His Royal Highness, Igwe Dr K. Orizu iii welcomed the winners of 2016 Federation Cup, Fc Ifeanyi Ubah at Governor's lodge Amawbia and Igwe's palace Nnewi respectively.

Fans all over the state trouped out en mass to grace the prestigious event which took off from the commercial city of Nnewi to the state capital Awka, and Onitsha before retiring at Nnewi, the home of Fc Ifeanyi Ubah.
