If you read Reuben Abati's article on some spiritual forces manipulating and influencing residents of Aso Rock, you may be able to discover one of the real problem with Nigeria.
To be very honest, majority of the people who are at the helm of affairs of Nigeria are hugely ignorant of what Nigeria is all about. Only about two percent of them know. And they are running it with ethnic inclinations or how much they can amass for themselves and their unborn generations, knowing fully well that Nigeria doesn't exist. It only exists on paper!
One reason Nigeria is in the mess it is today, is because of religion. Vain religion. Everything is interwoven on religion.
An average Nigerian believes he/she must attach him/herself with one form of religion or another, either for safety, protection, promotion, prosperity or simply just to have that satisfying feeling of piety.
With the multiplying level of religion and spiritual attachments among an average Nigerian, rather than improving their lives or living standard, it is worsening their conditions everyday and inflicting more sorrows and disappointments. Because they trusted all their hopes and future on vain religion, piety and spirituality, believing that it could do all things for them magically without any effort, including sending them to the moon and back or earn them foreign exchange. That is how religiously stupid an average Nigerian is. Otherwise, tell me how a country that hope to compete with China or Japan in science and technology and become a leading global economy should be dedicating about an hour in every social or political function praying to some unseen god or gods of muslims or Christendem to come and bless them before they proceed? Isn't the same god or gods living in China, Japan, S/korea or Germany? A country that hope to be like China, Japan or Taiwan, would spend millions of dollars of her annual budget traveling to Mecca, Jerusalem or Vatican to go and worship some unknown god or gods? And someone is blaming some evil forces for all the woes in Aso Rock? So what of all the millions of dollars you waste annually on religious pilgrimage to go and service some god or gods in Asia and Europe, isn't it enough to buy the minds of those gods to help you solve your problems? A country that values ethnicity and sectionalism over merit and competency?
To be candid, God is not involved in anything done here. He is not even here. Whatever you gain or lose in your everyday activity is as a result of your planning and obedience or strict observation of natural laws guiding such things you do. Blaming your woes or ascribing your successes to some unseen god or gods is plain stupid. I once read one minister exclaiming in exasperation after some apparent frustrations with her ministry that some evil spirit is responsible for her ministry's lack of progress and that Nigeria needs God's intervention. Gen. Yakubu Gowon, a man who murdered three million of his fellow human beings have repeatedly asked that Nigeria needs serious prayers and crusades to petition God for help out of her many troubles. That is the level of spiritual stupidity average Nigerian is.
So for Reuben Abati to release his article blaming some unseen spiritual forces, evil or good for the fate of residents of Aso Rock describes in a nut-shell the level of spiritual depravity that Nigeria is buried in.
Nigeria or Aso Rock problem is not of any unseen evil spirit or forces. There is no evil spirit in Aso Rock! Neither is God or gods involved!
Nigeria problem is simply poor structure founded on CORRUPTION and IMMORALITY by Lord Lugard and enhanced by the migrant fulani oligarchy for their born-to-rule agenda!
Nigeria don't need any silly prayer or intervention from any God, god or gods to survive or become free of entrenched ethnic, sectional or regional sentiments or to come out of self-inflicted economic woes!
What Nigeria needs is simple; Restructure or Divide!
The second option which is outright Division is the best as the various ethnic nationalities are working at cross purposes daily and never sees eye to eye.
Save yourselves of religious or spiritual stupidity and embrace reality!
