Why Obiano Must Make Me His Campaign DG Before I Will Support His Second Term — Ubah

Oil Tycoon and chairman of Capital Oil and Gas Ltd, Dr. Ifeanyi Patrick Ubah has given condition for which he will work for the present Governor of Anambra State, Chief Willie Obiano (Akpokuo Dike Aguleri) to emerge for a second term next year.

Speaking during interactive session with Anambra media group, which includes social media gurus, bloggers, activists, etc at his residence in Nnewi, Anambra State on the 10th of September 2016, Ubah said he contested for the last governorship election, but may not do so next year when the election would hold in the State.  


Ubah said he would support the incumbent governor to get a second term, but will only do so if the governor appoints him the Director General of his campaign. He however warned the governor to avoid making the same mistake he made when he vied for the governorship position. 

"Obiano needs someone who will tell him the truth because he's currently surrounded by rats" 

"If I had won the Last gubernatorial election, I would've been the worst governor in Anambra State because I was surrounded by rats but all thanks to God Almighty because I've learnt my lessons"

“If not for the love I have for Anambra, I should not have any reason to aspire to be Governor because there is nothing a Governor enjoys that I do not enjoy today, God has blessed me in all ramifications. I had the best manifesto to change the fortunes of Anambra as at the time I contested for governorship position, but I had to let everything go because it must not be me, the most important thing is that I improved myself from all that happened", he added.
 
Ubah said the governor is a good man with a good heart but his problem remains the people he referred to as 'rats' in his cabinet, and that's the reason Obiano needs people like him who will look him in the face and tell him the truth at all times.
