Man Escapes Lynching By Angry Mob for Allegedly Stealing Android Phones at Apapa, Lagos

A 20 year-old man was almost set ablaze by an angry mob early this morning for allegedly stealing two Android phones at Akere motor spare parts, along Kiri Kiri road Apapa, Lagos State.

According to our correspondent, the suspect allegedly stole the phones at a restaurant while pretending to be a customer. Luck ran out of him when the owner of the restaurant raised an alarm before the mob swooped down on him. 

 He was beaten mercilessly and paraded naked along Kiri-Kiri road. They poured fuel on the suspect and were about to set him on fire when someone brought an idea of taking him to the police station.
