Remember The Magazine earlier reported about the controversial case of the Udeagwus'.

According to reports, on Tuesday, February 23 2016, late Mr Peter was attacked by his nephew, Mr Mike Udeagwu with a machete, over land issues. He died in the hospital, five days after the incident.

An eyewitness who was at the scene(Name withheld by us), said the assailant grabbed the machete and cut mercilessly deep in the back of his head before being removed by those who rushed to the scene when they heard a loud cry of help from the deceased. He was immediately taken to the hospital but didn't survive.

The assailant had earlier warned the deceased never to trespass that particular land he inherited from his late father, but Late Peter Udeagwu maintained the fact that he was the person that buried his father when they were still kids, therefore, the land automatically belonged to him according to their custom.

The case had since been transferred to the State C.I.D Awka for futher investigation, though the assailant has confessed to the crime. He'll soon be charged to court.

We'll keep you updated.
