Breaking News! Pandemonium In Anambra State University As Security Men Beat Student To Death. UPDATED

Tragedy struck today, May 25th, 2016 at Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University (formerly Anambra State University) Uli Campus as school security men popularly known as "Ndi Mpiawa azu" allegedly tortured a final year engineering student to death. 


As at the time of filing this report, there's pandemonium everywhere on campus . Students are running helter skelter for their safety to avoid being caught in the crossfire between the rival gangs and the security men. 


 According to our correspondent, the deceased popularly know as "Small" was arrested by the security men on Tuesday, 24th May, for allegedly belonging to a cult group. He was taken to anti-cult office for interrogation and was released later in the evening with serious injuries. He was immediately rushed to the hospital but didn't survive.

Riot broke out inside the school premises immediately the students heard about the sudden death of their colleague and what led to his death.

The members of Nigerian police force later arrived the scene and dispersed the rioting students with tear-gas. 

There's an unconfirmed report that the members of the alleged cult group the deceased belonged to, re-grouped immediately and started fighting the security men which made students to scamper for safety.

The armoured vehicles of the men of the Nigerian police force are still mounted at strategic sections of the campus as at 6pm today, May 25th. 

Normalcy has since returned on campus.
