Man Stripped Unclad For Allegedly Killing 10-year-old Boy Through Ukpor Deity In Anambra [Must Read]

A trader simply identified as Ebuka was paraded naked and humiliated after being accused of killing a 10-year old alter boy from the area.

The boy was said to have stolen biscuits from the accused shop in the company of his younger brother.

Eyewitnesses said trouble started when the two boys developed strange ailment and were taken to different hospitals but their condition refused to improve.

Shortly after, their skin began to peel and rot alive which triggered their parents to seek help through spiritual means. Their findings indicted Ebuka, a popular trader in the area.

He was invited for questioning and admitted that he dedicated his shop to "Ogwugwu Umuhu", a popular deity in Ukpor, Nnewi South Area of the state. The deity can be likened to the popular "Arusi Okija" in Ihiala LGA where a popular APC chieftain was said to have taken an oath of secrecy with his political godfather from Aguata LGA of the state prior to 2003 Anambra gubernatorial election.

According to reports, Ebuka demanded for the sum of N5million to appease the deity but the parents pleaded with him to reduce the amount as there's no way they can afford such amount of money. He allegedly collected N475,000 from them but the boy later died leaving his other brother terribly ill.

A letter from the deity

After his death, the youths and elders of Awka-Etiti arrested the accused, seized his goods and paraded him naked.

But the question is, will that single action solve the problem?

An indigene of Umuhu Ukpor where the deity is located has this to say on Sunday evening when our correspondent contacted him.

"I have not heard of this story but if it happened to be true, then Awka Etiti community should be very careful in handling this issue. They should quickly contact the chief priest before the next three market days in order not lose the other boy.

"And if the accused actually collected N475,000 as they claimed, then he too isn't safe from the deity. He's likely going to die like his victim because "Ogwugwu" doesn't send anyone to recover debt except the chief priest.

"It's very unfortunate that this happened. This deity is located close to my house but I don't get close to it at all. It used to serve as a local court before the advent of Christianity. Till today, people from all over the country usually pay visit to the deity to help them recover their dept," he narrated.

Our findings revealed that the boy's corpse will be taken to the evil forest of the deity. Failure to do so, another person will die within a short period of time.
