APGA has no candidate in Anambra south senatorial zone following the sack of the alleged winner of the primaries, Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu by the court on Thursday, December 13th. That's the position of the court until a higher court states otherwise.
But the possibility of the Appeal Court to hear and rule on the appeal purportedly filed by Chief Nicholas Ukachukwu immediately after the judgement yesterday, before the February 16, National Assembly election is in doubt.
Before we forget, I read where Chief Ukachukwu in his reaction to the judgement that nullified the APGA primary election held on October 3, at Ekwulobia Town Stadium claimed that the FCT High Court lacked the jurisdiction to have entertained the matter.
But in November 2014, the same Nicholas Ukachukwu approached the same FCT High Court Abuja where he obtained an expert order which restrained the then national chairman, chief Victor Umeh and APGA from disqualifying him from contesting the primaries of the party.
The interim injunction was granted to him by Justice O.A Musa of the same FCT high court Abuja.
How come in 2014, the court had jurisdiction to entertain an APGA case and granted an injunction in favour of Ukachukwu, and in 2018, Ukachukwu is accusing the court of lacking jurisdiction.
It is a pity APGA has no candidate in Anambra south senatorial zone heading into this election on February.
What should worry every concerned APGA member is the move behind going to Enugu last week to beg Bianca by APGA leaders and nullification of Anambra south senatorial primaries which Bianca has strongly opposed.
Are there any strong correlation between the begging and the sudden nullification?
