PHOTOS: Kidnappers gunned down in Abia while negotiating for ransom (Warning! Graphic images)

On July 19th 2017, Police detectives attached to Omoba Division at Ovungwu, Isiala-Ngwa South L.G.A, Abia State, smashed a four man Armed Kidnap gang who has been terrorizing Aba and its environs.

The gang had on July 18th, in Osisioma Ngwa abducted Chief Onyemaechi, the Managing Director of Mba Hotels Aba in his ash colour Nissan Infinity Jeep with number plate GWA 807 DH and held him hostage in an uncompleted building at Umuajuju Ovungwu, Isiala Ngwa South while negotiating for ransom.

On a tip off, the men of Nigeria police force invaded their hideout where the gang opened fire on sighting them.

During the exchange of gunfire, two of the Kidnappers who were later identified as Nwadibia and Monday were gunned down while others escaped with bullet wounds.
The victim was rescued unhurt while one of the policemen sustained injuries.

The victim’s Nissan Infinity Jeep, two, motorcycles and four mobile phones were recovered from the hoodlums. He has since been reunited with his family and manhunt for the fleeing members of the gang continues.
