It doesn't seat well with me each time I hear preachers describe grace as a product of new testament. That's because the old dispensation had its own share of the manifestation of grace. Abraham for instance, was a product of grace.
Abraham was found by grace, made by his own obedience and announced by strong faith he reposed on God whom his father, Terah probably never knew. As Abraham pushed towards 75, he and his barren wife were still living off his father's budget. Not that Terah himself had an impressive wealth rather, they portrayed a family opened to resettlement as they searched for greener pasture.
Grace found Abraham and made him the father of many nations. He didn't have to labour for it because he won't make it by a calculated human effort. It is good to work hard but no amount of hardworking can elevate a man to the altitude grace would take him to.
God confirmed through Isaiah that He was in complete control of Abraham's fortunes when He said "Look unto Abraham your father, and unto Sarah that bare you: for I called him alone, and blessed him, and increased him (Isaiah 51:2 KJV). That's grace and that's what I want for myself and for you.
To everyone reading this post, may we never be in a place where His grace won't find us. That's my prayer.

Is Grace a product of the new testament?
