The Confederation of African Football have reached a consensus to make radical changes to the football calendar.
In a statement on Thursday July 20th, the African governing body outlined some of the decisions taken at their symposium in Rabat, Morocco.
One of the key resolutions is the shift from January/February to June/July for the Africa Cup of Nations to align with the European calendar.
They also resolved to increase the participating teams from the current 16 to 24 from the next edition billed for Cameroon in 2019.
