Gary Cahill will captain England in Germany on Wednesday night.
The Chelsea defender will lead out Gareth Southgate’s Three Lions in Dortmund for the friendly clash.
Cahill, 31, has been vice-captain in recent years to Wayne Rooney.
But the Manchester United striker’s absence from Southgate’s latest squad has handed the opportunity to the centre-half to skipper his country.
