FC Ifeanyi Ubah return to winning ways.

By Mckay Chuks

FC Ifeanyi Ubah today (Sunday) returned to winning ways with a 1 -0 victory over Professional league leader Plateau United in a week 10 fixture.

This comes after 2 defeats  on a row- first in Egypt against Confederations cup opponents, Al Masry, before a 1-0 defeat at Katsina United in the midweek.

Prince Aggreh scored from the spot in the 29th minute of the encounter after Obaje was felled inside the box and that was enough to see off Kenede Boboye's men who ask little questions of the Anambra Warriors defence throughout the game .

The katsina based outfit had to play 30 minutes of the game with 10 men after  Defender Salomon went into the referee book for a second time of tripping an opponent.

FC Ifeanyi Ubah's Coach Yaw Preko who made four changes to the team that lost in Katsina told odenigbo Fm in  post match briefing that despite being happy with the victory at the FC Ifeanyi Ubah int'l Stadium today he was still concerned about his side's lack of goals

"I'm very happy with the result but taking about lack of goals, you saw the match yourself, we created chances, finishing was our problem, that's what we have been working on and will continue to work work work until that aim is achieved, even Manchester United had problems scoring in the beginning of this season but when they got their acts together, the goals started coming".

Recall that FC Ifeanyi Ubah have only managed 7 goals this season in the league after 8 Games - a situation that also worries captain Wilson Elu who told Odenigbo Fm after the game that it was only a matter of time until the team return firing in all Cylinders.

Next up for reigning federation cup champions FC Ifeanyi Ubah will be a trip to Gombe on the Wednesday march 1 to play newly promoted Gombe United.
