Kano Man To Die By Hanging For Murdering Friend Over Football Game

A Kano man who stabbed his friend to death during a heated argument over a football match in 2011, has been sentenced to death.


A Kano High Court found Kabiru Sani of Brigade Quarters, Nasarawa Local Government Area of the state, guilty after years of trial.

Justice Faruk Lawan said Mr. Sani’s act contravened Section 221 (2) of the Penal Code and that he was guilty as charged.

He sentenced Mr. Sani to death by hanging.
