Hon. Ikenna Mbazulike-Amechi, an All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) stalwart and former Chairman house committee on finance and appropriation, Anambra State House of Assembly has formally declared his interest to contest for the upcoming Anambra South Senatorial District election in the state.


Declaring his interest before party executives from Nnewi South in a well attended ceremony held at the L.G party office, he said he would introduce fresh ideas in political representation if elected.

The legal juggernaut said he would liaise with like-minded colleagues in the Red chamber to propose and ardently pursue the passage of bills that would be of a great impact to the people.

He further stated that having practiced law for 25 years and 14 years in America, the central focus of the law and governance generally ought to be the good interest of the people, insisting that his utmost concern would be the people, and to attract meaningful projects which would positively make a greater impact on the lives of the people.

He assured party leadership that he would never leave the party and would always carry them along if elected.

Hon. Amechi also stated that he's been a consistent and stable party member unlike those who are politically inconsistent. He therefore warned the party faithfuls to be very careful because according to him, those who stole the party's mandate in the last Senatorial election are here again in another form.
