The statement read: "With all sense of humility, I find it an enormous privilege and honour to be trusted with the leadership of  Ukpor  Improvement Union,  UIU  central body  and  I am deeply conscious of this privilege and honour at  this crucial time in the history of our community.

"I want to use this opportunity to thank the Almighty God for His grace, appreciate  my team, friends, supporters and indeed the generality of Ndi Ukpor  for this outstanding victory.

"To  my brother and fellow contestant for the office of the President General - Chief  Mike Ireka (Ugogbuzuo) nwadianam and other contestants for various offices,  may I remind us that what happened yesterday was just votes that were won and lost but in the end, we are all  ndi Ukpor, and the UIU I will lead shall be a UIU for all us.

"For now, I pledge that we will do our best to tackle the challenges  confronting our community particularly in the area of electricity, Nkwo oha market, befitting civic centre and the other  community projects immediately after our inauguration.
"It is my hope and belief that my team and indeed the entire people if Ukpor shall rise as one to meet these defining challenges of our time, so that future generations, basking in the sunlit uplands of tomorrow, might thank us and say truly this was their finest hour.
