Monday December 25Update On “Modern Homemaker” Episode 30 - 32

Laxmi comes at 5 pm and asks Neelam if she has taken out all groceries for preparing the dinner. Sunaina takes Laxmi to the kitchen to show her the poor bad lunch prepared by her but is surprised to see the fully cooked rice, well prepared cuhappatis, salt in mix veg and Tadka wali dal. Laxmi is also surprised but she doesn’t says it and instead proudly says that she handle her 2 kids and her good for nothing husband so she knows everything better.
Sunaina tried to say something but Laxmi interrupts her that convo time is over and she has to do work. Neelam tells her mother-in-law Sunaina that she along with Sona managed the lunch food properly. Hearing this, Sunaina Devi gets annoyed after learning Neelam and Sona guidance to the maid at the kitchen and looks at Sona. On the other hand, Renu and Bindiya had a discussion regarding the maid Laxmi to last longer in house and then Sona going to office and indirectly trouble to them.

At police station, Kanhaiya gets a call from Avinash who asks Kanhaiya to invite him for dinner. Kanhaiya suggests him to lets first inform the maid to know everyone’s taste and then he will call him for dinner. Avinash asks Kanhaiya to come to his place for dinner with Sona. Kanhaiya think his friend Misunderstand and tells him that he is not making excuses and asks Avinash to come tomorrow during lunch to give the list of his favourite dishes and then enjoy the dinner. Meanwhile, Laxmi cleans the dishes in hurry to go home fast and while doing this in hurry, she ends up breaking plates and glasses. Chiku then makes a list of every damage on the blackboard. Laxmi asks Neelam about cleaning the dirty clothes. Neelam says that all clothes she has are kept in the bathroom.

The maid at the Chaturvedis, gets irritated after receiving a huge burden of work from the family. Laxmi then brings the clothes and takes for washing saying so many clothes are given. She calls Neelam and complains about having to wash so many clothes and asks where will she have time to do other work in the house if she has to wash so many clothes. Neelam also complain that she didn't even clean the house properly. She then tells her to first go and clean mummy's room again and she can continue washing the clothes later. Laxmi takes the broom and leaves while Sunaina tells Neelam on why is she worried about all this? She further says they now have a maid and she will look after all these. Neelam says alrigh and leaves. Renu and Bindiya on the other hand, get worried after learning about Neelam's accompaniment with Sona in helping the maid. They both are in the room where Renu says she don't understand why Sona and Neelam are helping the maid of the house.

A worried Bindiya also says she don't even know what is happening in this house and that this is not good for them. Renu agrees. Bindiya inform Remu that it's looks like Sona wants to go back to office again but Renu is not happy with this and says this should not happen as their value would go down again. She asks what if Sona and Neelam don't want to go back to work? Then both of them will be in trouble. Laxmi cleans Sunaina's room and manages to sees Sunaina's locker. Laxmi also steals some nuts which was in Sunaina's room saying she wants to bring back for her kids and as Laxmi leaves the room, Sunaina stands at the door which Laxmi is shocked. Laxmi inform her that she have cleaned her room and asks her to let her finish the rest of the work. Laxmi leaves. Chicku sees Laxmi washing the clothes and she ends up tearing the clothes. Laxmi tells Julie that she have washed the clothes and asks Julie to help drying the clothes as she is already getting late for the other works. Julie clearly tells her she have nothing to do with this and she leaves. Chicku writes on the damage list that Laxmi is wasting one whole packet of washing powder and wonders who to tell this to.

On the other hand, Julie is chatting with Avinash where Julie talks about her beauty contest. Chicku comes to Gyaneshwar and informs the maid's insincerity at work to him that she is damaging all the things in the house. Gyaneshwar asks if he Chicku saw it by himself and Chicku says he did. Gyaneshwar hence tells Chintu, to note down the flaws and the irregularities of the maid by spying on her see if Laxmi is doing her work or taking advantage. Laxmi breaks another plate which Chicku sees. Julie is talking with Anu saying she can't come out of the house where she says that Sona is always seeing her like a spy camera. Julie sees Sona walking towards her, she immeditely tells that Sona is coming and ends her call. Sona sees Julie looking worried and thinks to herself that Julie speaks on the phone all the time and no one is bothered to know whom she is speaking to. Sona calls Julie and asks when did she come back from college? Julie reply her that she just come back and Sona asks when her exams? Julie says in March. Sona who pays close attention to Julli says march is so near and asks if she have studied? Julie says not really and that she don't have much guidance. Sona then asks where Dimple is?

Julie asks if there is any work? Sona then order her to call Chicku and Dimple, as she will teach the three of them today. Julie tried to tells Sona there is no need for it and that she have no problems in studying. Sona reminds her that she just said awhile ago that she have no guidance to study? And that she is volunteered herself to teach her and they will see if she have problem or not. She then reminds her to call them and Julie leaves. Laxmi complain that she have washed the clothes and Sona just have to dry the clothes. Sona says she just left drying the clothes? Laxmi says they all can do it themself since she have done so much of work and she keep getting calls again and again. Sona tries asking something and Laxmi says she is cooking half way and instructs her that once it's done, she should off the stove and Laxmi leaves while Sona is left speechless and Laxmi walks away. Darshana goes and sees the clothes and shouts to see how the maid ruined the clothes with marks. Sona tells her to let her see what she can do with it. Darshana shouts to her mother Sunaina to see what the maid have done to the clothes. Sona says the stain is not out and Darshana is shocked to hear this. Sona then point out that is the difference between a housewife and a maid. Darshana says this is like a magic and Sunaina tells Darshana not to shout next time and not to think by doing this, the maid's job is done. She will not change her mind and leaves. In the night, Sona says all the note books are empty and asks if he don't do his homeworks? Chicku says he doesn't have homework. Julie says that she have completed her homework and Sona asks Julie to tell what course she has.

Just then, Julie mobile starts ringing and Julie panics thinking it's her phone. Sona then says it's her phone and that it's the maid calling. Sona answers the call and Laxmi informs her that she will not be able to come to work in the night as her child is not feeling well. Sona thinks that is already night and wonders what to prepare for dinner? Sona asks Julie to read three chapters, she asks Dimple to practice a diagram and asks Chicku to get the formula correct and leaves. While Neelam and Sona are preparing dinner, Neelam asks why is the need for a maid when she herself can do all the work? Sona says a housewife's work never ends and they never have leave. A maid is also a housewife in her house. Neelam says she feel that the maid is lying about her child is not feeling well. Sona says she don't think so that she would lie about her child for a leave. Laxmi puts the nuts in the container and her husband comes home asking why she came back? He says she must have lied again that their child is not feeling well and asks if she is not ashamed to always lie like this and escape from doing work? Laxmi says she lied and came home and that she is surprised that her husband says they would find out the truth one day. Laxmi's husband advice her to stop lying as no one would help her when she is in trouble. Meanwhile, Sona goes to Dimple and Chicku and asks where Julie is? Dimple says she had a call, so she left. Sona goes looking for Julie and sees her talking over the phone. Sona asks who she is talking to? Julie claims she was talking to her friend as her brother passed away today and she was crying, so she was giving her courage. Sona says a friend is in need during bad times and leaves. Dimple asks which friend of hers have her brother passed away which Sona sees and starts thinking. Darshana brings a Valentines Invitation card for her and Kanhaiyya where the name of the even is Dil Dhamaal and it's on 9th February at Padmini Palace.

Kanhaiya gets call from Avinash and Avinash asks what does Sona likes since he is going to meet her for the first time and he wants to give her a gift. Kanhaiya asks what is the need for the formality and that as a matter of fact, he himself don’t know what she likes. Avinash asks Kanhaiya to just make a guess. Kanhaiya asks what can a wife like? And as he know, she don’t like gold or make up. Avinash tells him to leave it and address him as reporter’s husband. He then says he will see what to bring for his sister-in-law. Kanhaiya tells him to come the next day at 9pm. Meanwhile, Laxmi comes and calls out to her, Sona enquire about her sick child and asks if he is fine? Laxmi is in tears saying that her child’s health is bad and asks for Sunaina Devi. Sunaina asks Laxmi if she see the time she is coming? Laxmi goes to Sunaina and says that her child is not feeling well and she needs advance. As the maid at the Chaturvedis pleads Sunaina Devi for some money to treat her ailing son, Sunaina point out that she have not even do work for four days and she is already asking for advance? She reminds her that she had made an excel agreement and it did not mentioned about any advance. Laxmi looks at Sona and Sunaina asks why is she looking at her?

Sunaina Devi however refuses to give her any advance and tells her to go and do the work she left behind. Sona says the work is completed. Sunaina leaves while Laxmi shouts saying if she give her advance or not, someone else will give her and Laxmi hence leaves the premises at once. Julie gets message from Anuj where Anuj says he wants to meet her as he is waiting in front of her house. Julie asks if he is mad. Anuj says it's his birthday and he wants her to wish him. Julie wishes him Happy Birthday and also adds that he will celebrate another time but asks him to leave now. Julie tries leaving but Anuj takes out a gift. Anuj asks if Julie will not come down and take it. Julie secretly meets Anuj a guy, who likes her by tying a cloth from the balcony and climbs down while Anuj catches her. Julie again wishes Anuj on his birthday and asks what is in the gift where Anuj opens it and shows her an expensive watch. Anuj says he is giving this to say that he is with her every second. Julie says she always think of him and thanks him. Julie then tells him she need to leave, Anuj hugs her and Julie climbs back up and enters her room which Sona, who is paying close attention to Jullie watches this as her findings leave her worried about the condition of the family relationships. On the other hand, Durgesh is counting money and Darshana asks where he got this from? Durgesh says he got it as his salary from singing where Darshana says it's not going to make much difference as they will need to spend the money to buy food from outside since their maid doesn’t cooks well. Durgesh then says she is a son-in-law and she only take money and not give. Meanwhile, Sona is waiting in the hall for Kanhaiya’s return from work. Darshana and Durgesh get worried on sustaining their position in the Chaturvedi residence due to Sona's involvement in the family issues. Durgesh says that Sona is slowly changing the system in the house and they need to do something to send her back to work no matter what. Darshana says she can see that their future of being in this house is not long if Sona keeps making changes to the house.

Kanhaiya returns home while Sona complain that he is late today. Kanhaiya then tells her that he is hungry and they both sit at the dinner table. He wants to feed her but Sona tells him to eat first as she don’t feel like eating. Sona looks worried and asks if she can ask him something? He tells her to go ahead. Sona asks why does anyone in the house worry about where a person going and whom the person is meeting? Kanhaiya sense something fishy and asks who is she talking about? She then blunt out that she is talking about Julie. He says she is getting worried for nothing and Julie is the Chaturvedi daughter and that she will not do anything wrong. On the other hand, Julie is chatting with Avinash asking if he has girlfriend in which Avinash says he doesn’t has. Kanhaiya assured her that there is no need to worry about Julie and Sona make it clear to him that the world is changing these days. He says Julie knows what to do and Sona tells him that she is not joking and that. someone needs to watch Julie. She then asks him if he can monitor her by sending her to college everyday. Kanhaiya accept that he will. Sona is extremely happy with this. He then feeds Sona and Sona eats it. Neelam is with Suhnaina saying from morning till night, she used to do all the work. She want to do things like how she used to do and will never let her down. She adds that she ( Neelam) and Sona will manage everything and she can tell them that she don’t need a maid. Sunaina asks if she want to read the Hanuman chalisa again? Darshana comes in saying that she wants to hold her mother's legs and asks Neelam to leave.

As Neelam is walking out, Neelam walks pass Kanhaiya, she inform him that the maid is not doing a good job and that he is his mummy's favorite son, she begs him tell his mummy they don’t need one when she and Sona can manage the house. Darshana says that she wants to help Neelam in looking after the house and Suhnaina asks since when is this? Darshana says that she is also the daughter in the house and that if her in-laws is good, why would she be staying here? She further tells her mother Sunaina she have been doing injustice to her since her childhood. Hearing this, Sunaina asks what did she do to her and Darshana says that she was sent to her Nani’s house from childhood and no one listens to her words. Suhnaina says things that happened will not return and she know how she looked after this big family all alone. They went trough bad phase but everything has changed now and she do care about her and she and her husband Durgesh can always stay here. On the other hand, Bindiya is complaning to her husband that the maid is troubling all of them and what happens when Sona returns to work and Neelam refuse to do work? She and Renu need to do work in the kitchen? Bindiya's husband says that is why he said Sona should goes to work and Neelam would look after the house but no one listens to him. Renu says just to let Sona be a housewife and the husband says that Sona will surely need to go back to work one day. Sunaina Devi on the other hand, plans another ploy to influence Sona's decision of being a housewife. She is thinking of all the problems the maid does and thinks to herself that the condition in the house is getting worse day by day and the system in the house is changing and she has to do something fast.

Kanhaiya invites his friend to his house. Laxmi again comes late and Kanhaiya however gets worried due to the unavailability of the maid at the moment to prepare lunch for Avinash’s welcome. Sona assures him that lunch will be prepared on it. Sona and Neelam make all the preparation to welcome their guest. Julie does not goes to college since Avinash is coming to her home to visit her uncle Kanhaiya. She even comes to help Sona and Neelam in the kitchen. Chintu suggests Julie to enquire Darshana about Julie's watch which was taken by Bindiya. Darshana engages in a short argument with Julie regarding the watch. Avinash arrives and Julie serves him everytime while saying off to Avinash. Sunaina leaves her money bag on the sofa. Sona witnesses Julie’s actions. In the evening Sunaina Devi gets furious on the maid as she arrives after the guest leaves and scolds hsr for being late and Laxmi says that everyone can have emergency at home and claims that her son is ill. Sona kindly asks Laxmi about her son’s health.
